Safe Spaces Support
Empowering Growth in Safe Spaces
WHO WE ARE:
Safe Spaces Support is a family-led service, founded by Joey and Adriana Betham, providing behaviour, mental health, and family-focused supports for children, young people, and families across Penrith and Greater Western Sydney.
As parents of children supported under the NDIS, we bring both professional expertise and lived experience. We understand not only the system, but also the day-to-day realities, challenges, and emotions that come with navigating support for your child. We know what it means to advocate for your child, to celebrate the wins- big and small, and to carry the weight that can come with it.
Our heart is to create safe, supportive environments where individuals feel understood, regulated, and empowered to thrive—and where families feel seen, supported, and not alone.
OUR CO-FOUNDERS:
Our Co-Founder and Director, Joey, brings extensive experience working alongside DCJ and supporting young people with high and complex needs through youth work. He has extensive experience in working with children with a disability with previous roles as a disability support worker. Joey is currently studying his Certificate IV in Mental Health to further his skills and knowledge.
Our Co‑Founder and Director Adriana brings a strong pastoral heart alongside extensive professional experience to create a safe and empowering environment.
